The Rowland Hill Award is named after Sir Rowland Hill, creator of the first postage stamp, and is awarded to the person that has done the most to further the hobby in the southeast.

The Southeast Federation of Stamp Clubs invites stamp collectors across the Southeast to attend Southeastern Stamp Show 2010. This year's show will be held Sept. 24-26 in the Cobb County Civic Center, which is located at 548 S. Marietta Parkway in historic Marietta, Ga. The 36,000-square-foot venue is several miles north of I-285 (the Atlanta perimeter highway). Click here to view map with directions.

 Three Full Days!

Southeastern Stamp Show is a full three-day APS national show.

Show hours are 10 am - 6 pm on Friday and Saturday (Sept. 24-25) and 10 am - 4 pm on Sunday (Sept. 26).

Admission $3.00 (children free)
Parking is free.

2010 Show Award Winners

This will be Southeastern Stamp Show's ninth year as an APS national show. Thus, the grand award winner at this year's show will qualify for the APS Champion of Champions exhibit competition at Stamp Show 2010.

Over 2500 pages of philatelic exhibits will be on display at SESS 2010.

 US Postal Service Philatelic Booth

The US Postal Service plans to have a philatelic booth open throughout the show featuring recent commemoratives, postal stationery, philatelic souvenirs, and other postal items.

 


Youth Activities

An adult-supervised youth area will be open after school on Friday, and all day on Saturday.

There will be fun galore, with activities to not only keep kids busy but also to provide an introduction to the hobby of stamp collecting.

Headquarters hotel for SESS 2010 is the Crowne Plaza Hotel located at 1775 Parkway Place NW, Marietta, GA 30067. For directions click here.
